Recently, we here at The Waiting World have received some great news that we wanted to share with all of you interested in global missions! God is kicking off the new year in some amazing ways around the world! Here’s what we have so far, and all of this is from first hand reports in each country:
POLICE PROTECTION IN INDIA….FOR CHRISTIANS!
Yes in India, the week before Christmas, a pastor friend of ours and his associates were able to distribute10,000 New Testaments to families and individuals. Some individually wrapped cakes sweetened the deal, of course. However this all occurred in a community in northeastern India that is normally hostile to Christians! Even more amazing, is the fact that the local authorities offered police protection to the pastors who organized the event! Could revival be coming to India?
IN THE MIDDLE EAST, A PRAYER MOVEMENT!
Just before Christmas, we told you about a massive Christian conference in Egypt where hundreds of people gave their lives to Christ. Now we’ve had word of another Christian conference attended by both Christians and non-Christians in Egypt. We don’t have all of the statistics on that yet, but will share them when available. And, just for the record, major prayer gatherings have been happening in Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries fora few years now. Stay tuned!
What in the world is God up to? For sure, God is on the move, and we can all look forward to an exciting year ahead. Keep praying! Don’t give up hope on the world! Only God knows!
