(From Pray4SouthAsia.com) “Let’s pray for God’s Kingdom to come in and through the religious landscape of Bhutan. Vajrayana Buddhism is the state religion and deeply tied to Bhutanese identity, making up 74-83% of the population. Hinduism is also represented, primarily in the south. Christianity remains a small minority, with estimates of as many as 30,000 believers, most of whom come from the Nepali ethnic groups residing in Bhutan. Christians face strict legal restrictions and social pressure. Evangelism is illegal, and converts risk ostracism. Still, the gospel is quietly advancing through personal relationships, digital media, and acts of service.”
-Pray for Bhutanese people to encounter Christ in ways that overcome cultural and legal barriers to faith.
-Pray for strength, wisdom, and community for Bhutanese believers, that they may grow in faith despite opposition.
-Pray that the remaining and resistant unreached people groups would be touched by God and see breakthroughs as disciples multiply.
