Shakings From Bangladesh

(From Pray4SouthAsia.com). Bangladesh recently faced a major political crisis. In January, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was re-elected for a 4th term in an election boycotted by the Opposition, calling it unfair. By mid-2024, protests and violence erupted over job quotas and youth unemployment. Hasina resigned on August 5 and fled to India. The military then formed an interim government, appointing Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus as head. Tensions remain as the country prepares for new elections.

• Pray for Bangladesh as it prepares for new elections.

• Pray for political stability and peace in the country.

• Pray the interim government does its job well.

• Pray for religious tensions to calm down.

• Pray many hear about and turn to the Prince of Peace during this time.
